Marina and Nick's wedding takes us to the historic Van Hoosen Farm in Rochester, Michigan. The couple met 10 years ago and have since expanded their family together with five precious pups. If you'd like to read more about Marina and Nick's love story, check out their engagement session which also includes their furry family. Marina started the day getting ready with her bridesmaids at her parent's house. She was calm, relaxed, and looking forward to the day ahead. With her mom's help, Marina slipped into her dress, which she instantly knew was the one when she tried it on. Her accessories were diamonds and pearls that accented the soft feminine details of her dress. Meanwhile, Nick was getting ready and meeting his groomsmen at Van Hoosen Farm. Nick's cuff links featured three fleur de lis stampings and were extra special because they belonged to his grandfather. The couple chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other, so they were captured separately with their wedding party until after they said their I dos.
The ceremony took place outside at the gazebo, and their dogs were all in attendance as the bride and groom shared their vows. While the day had been mostly overcast until this point, miraculously, the sun came out during the ceremony. After a short but very sweet ceremony, I captured the newlyweds in their first moments as husband and wife. As they walked the grounds of Van Hoosen, they were so tender and loving with each other, lost in their own little world together, which made it easy to capture their love.
Once everyone was seated in the historic calf barn for the reception, Marina's dad gave a very sentimental speech that was so personable to the bride and groom. Marina's sisters also gave a speech together and ended with a beautiful sentiment and wish for the couple in their marriage. The quote was "May your love be modern enough to survive the times, but old-fashioned enough to last the test of time." I loved that quote! Nick's best man shared many kind words about Nick and Marina with a few funny jokes before everyone had dinner.
After dinner, we headed outside to capture some of the evening ambiance on the farm before heading inside to open up the dance floor for the evening. Everyone from grandparents to little ones had a great time dancing and celebrating the beautiful union of the bride and groom.
Congratulations, Marina and Nick! Wishing you many years of happiness and laughter together!
All my love,
