Steph and Billy had a beautiful intimate ceremony to celebrate their love and make their marriage official at their home in Leonard. Next year they will celebrate again with all of their family and friends. I know that if they had the choice, like many of my couples this year, they would have wanted their original celebration but having an intimate ceremony allowed them to be fully present and interact with all of their closest family and friends. Then, next year will be a wedding filled with joy, and let’s be real a downright party!
The joy, relaxation, ease, and intimacy of getting married at home is truly beautiful. And speaking of joy, one of the things that Steph and Billy wanted to be captured was the joy they were going to feel on their day. I love capturing real emotions and their joy was definitely documented! ⠀
When I arrived, they were both relaxed, hanging out with friends and family. They didn't seem nervous at all! I think the most beautiful part of their entire wedding though was that the family was intertwined into every aspect of it! Billy's mom made the floral arrangements, Steph's dad married them, and Steph had her brother's fingerprint pendant on her bouquet so a piece of him was with her all day.
Steph and Billy were married on their back deck, which Billy made. It looked incredible, the deck, the water, the love between them. Following their ceremony, they enjoyed champagne in their parent's champagne glasses from their wedding and their best man made a toast to the happy couple!
So, cheers to Steph and Billy! I cannot wait for the celebration to come!
