Prathyusha and Sri Harsha’s downtown Detroit engagement session gave me all the feels! It was an honor to capture their first photoshoot as a couple, especially since Sri Harsha is a photographer himself. Prathyusha and Sri Harsha met in college while doing a flash dance and have been together ever since. They had to postpone their wedding due to coronavirus cases continually rising in India, but wanted some photos to share with family and friends until it is safer to travel and celebrate with everyone in person again. We danced our way through downtown Detroit, stopping in Parker’s Alley, Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters for some specialty drinks, and ended the day at the Z lot structure for a classic Detroit view overlooking the city. They had not seen the city from that perspective and it's one of my favorite views to share with my couples if we are downtown. Sri Harsha’s special photo request was a long exposure with the motor city action and Prathyusha loved the romantic string light ambiance in the alley, both were some of my favorite photos from the day! Spending the evening with Prathyusha and Sri Harsha reminded me of how important it is to document life’s special moments and share them with those we love. I hope they get to celebrate with their friends and family and their original wedding plans soon. I look forward to photographing Prathyusha and Sri Harsha in the future and documenting more of their love story.
All my love,
