INTIMATE BACKYARD BARN WEDDING // MISSY + TYLER

It was a beautiful, brisk fall day in Williamston when Missy and Tyler said "I do" surrounded by their family and closest friends. Their intimate day was filled with love, from all the little details to all the big hugs.

Missy, being a creative herself, hand made many of the decorations and poured her creative spirit into every aspect of the wedding. Her wedding attire, made locally, was paired beautifully with her grandmother's bracelet. And her pressed flower earrings were a perfect compliment to her dried out floral bouquet.

But what was more beautiful than the details, was the sweet interactions between Missy and Tyler. As the warm sun peeked through the trees, Tyler stood excitedly awaiting his soon to be wife. I always love watching the couple interact from afar during their first look. Seeing Tyler admire his bride and her pretty details melted my heart.

The goodness didn't stop there either. Their close friend, Cass, married them and her raw emotion was absolutely beautiful. You could tell she truly cared for the couple and her words reflected her feelings. It is always beautiful to witness a good friend officiate the ceremony, as they truly know the bride and groom on a deeper level.

Not only were their friends apart of the ceremony, but their friends and family made their mark on their future home, literally. Missy and Tyler are building their own little home to start their married life together. I think it is such a beautiful thing that their family and friends signed the floor of their tiny house, the foundation of the home that they are going to build. How fitting that at the foundation of their relationship is a group of people who love them and support them.

As the golden sun set, we headed into the barn for food and festivities. Thanksgiving themed food made by Wanda Lee Catering filled their bellies, as they gathered, laughed, and shared memories. They even had a special visitor. Their neighboring cat would stop by and visit every day leading up to the wedding as they were setting up the barn. Well, sure enough, on their wedding day the cat joined the party and was a hit with the guests!

I love capturing beautiful moments, but what I love more is the beautiful memories that are created and the love that is shared on their special day. Sure, it's fun to capture candid moments with cats and gorgeous autumn sunsets, but the real magic and beauty is in the people and their immense love for one another.

So cheers, to Missy and Tyler. May they build a strong foundation, literally and figuratively, for their life together to flourish.

Artfully,
